about

That moment when you are absolutely certain the significant other in your life is feeling exactly what you're feeling at the exact same time in a completely different location: "LOVERS TELEPATHY"

All of these songs were recorded 3x live in the Rawlins Hall music room 153b and then narrowed to the best of the three. We then recorded the other instruments and voices later.

The content of most of the songs are about a young lady who means more to me than anyone else. We experienced a lot together and these experiences were used for over 25 of the 40ish songs I have written. All but "Lovin' Lovin' Lovin'", "Let's Go Outside", and "If I Knew Then" are about her. "Horizontal Lines" was added arbitrarily near the end because when I write a song, I always consider it better than any other song I've ever written. It is about my experiences at North Texas as a Philosophy Major. I just so happened to have finished "Horizontal Lines" the day we were recording so, me thinking it was the best song ever, it made the cut. That can be left up to you to decide whether or not it's worthy.

Nothing worth a damn would have been done without the help of Michael Lewis, a dear friend and talented piano player who offered his assistance out of the sheer love of recording and mixing. He played on "Surrealism: I am Yours" and "Call Me Honey". I'll always feel a deep gratitude for his work and his sharing of his assorted candies. Thanks to Carson who played violin with much skill on "Lovers Telepathy" and "Every". Thanks to Terri who creatively played cello on "Horizontal Lines". Thanks to Melz for having a beautiful voice that is worthy of much praise; she sang on "Every". Thanks to Hannah for inspiring nearly all of these songs. Thanks to everyone who has heard these songs and not thrown tomatoes.
